About Me

Holly Donovan in a Blue Shirt Smiling

My clients tell me I am supportive and warm. I am easy going and try to bring a practical, down-to-earth style to sessions. Humor is often a part of our meetings. I love my work and want to see you be the best person that you can be and be the person you want to be! Anxiety and OCD do not need to keep you from living the life you want to be living. I look forward to supporting you getting where you want to be in life.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Since earning a Master of Social Work degree at the University of New England, I have worked in community mental health, public schools, and integrated behavioral health in primary and specialty care practices providing psychotherapy to adults and children.  In 2019, I established a private practice and have specialized the focus of my work to support individuals experiencing OCD, anxiety disorders, body-focused repetitive behaviors (e.g. hairpulling, skin picking) and insomnia. I am passionate about my work and enjoy seeing clients develop and use skills to successfully overcome their anxiety and OCD.

I am a graduate of the Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) at the International OCD Foundation and have extensive training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention.  I have additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, the treatment of Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (e.g. hairpulling, skin picking, etc) and treatment of insomnia. I enjoy learning and attend many trainings each year to refine my skills and broaden my knowledge and I am a member of several professional consultation groups.

Professional member of the International OCD Foundation, National Association of Social Workers, Association for Contextual Behavioral Sciences and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.
